The two editions of the International Seminar on Jungle Operations (SIOPSELVA) held in the city of Manaus in 2015 and 2016 and the AMAZONLOG 2017, the largest combined Humanitarian Logistics Exercise held in Latin American territory, come together to give rise to a single Security and Defence event focused on the Amazon: ASDX (Amazon Security and Defence Exhibition).
A major international event where important issues of Security, Defence, Environment and Development will be debated, and presented innovative solutions of national and international industry focused on the Armed Forces, Public Security Forces, Government Agencies and technologies that contribute to the sustainable development of the Amazon.
There is no simple option for the development of the Amazon. Preserving the Forest implies building paths capable of generating income and quality of life for its populations. Developing the region requires a virtuous interaction between social forces capable of using the wealth derived from biodiversity and other regional natural resources without destroying it. This can not be achieved by replicating current patterns of what we call developmental.
ASDX will be held in the city of Belém, capital of the state of Pará, the second largest of the Brazilian states in territorial extension, which in addition to housing the Amazon rainforest is home of the delta of the Amazon.
